- Over a 10-year period ending in 2027, Electrify America will invest $2 billion in ZEV infrastructure, access, and education programs in the United States.
- Of this $2 billion, EA will invest $800 million in California, one of the largest ZEV markets in the world.
- EA will invest $1.2 billion in the remainder of the United States, providing support to current electric vehicle owners and those interested in learning more about the benefits of driving electric vehicles.

Charging Metrics: Levels of Charging
Level 1
- Provides charging through a 120 V AC plug and does not require installation of additional charging equipment.
- Can deliver 2 to 5 miles of range per hour of charging.
- Most often used in homes, but sometimes used at workplaces and long term parking locations.
Level 2
- Provides charging through a 240 V(for residential) / 208 V (for commercial) plug and requires installation of additional charging equipment.
- Can deliver 10 to 60 miles of range per hour of charging.
- Used in homes, workplaces, and for public charging.
Level 3
- Provides charging through 480 VAC input, converts to 800 V DC output, and requires highly specialized, high-powered equipment as well as special equipment in the vehicle itself.
- (Plug-in hybrid electric vehicles typically do not have fast charging capabilities.)
- Can deliver up to 62 mi (100 km) of range in 4minutes of charging!
- Used most often in public charging stations, especially along heavy traffic corridors.
